Red, White & Bubbly.

I visited Napa Valley and Half Moon Bay this weekend with my aunt, Joan (my mother’s sister), and her husband, Frank. With age, Frank is becoming cynical, and amusingly so.

My aunt makes jewelry for a buyer in Napa, so we first stopped by the hotel where her stuff is on display. I offered to make her a fairly basic website just to get her name out there and to be accessible to more buyers. Her pieces are a happy mix of design-current and timeless classics. Plus, her prices are so low (just enough to recoup the product cost --because it’s a hobby, not a profession for her).

Before I had to fly back to LA, we took a short walk out to Half Moon Bay. The area reminded me of the British countryside, which you definitely cannot find in Southern California.
